What information we collect, use and why
For service updates and marketing, we may collect:
- Your email address and, if you choose to provide it, your first name.
- Your marketing preferences and records of consent.
We use this information to manage the CashSavvi launch list and send launch news and other CashSavvi updates that you have agreed to receive.
We also use limited records to administer the launch-list discount and short-lived, pseudonymous identifiers to protect the signup form against repeated or automated requests.
We may also collect correspondence when you contact us, and information needed to respond to queries, complaints or claims or to comply with legal obligations.
The website uses Vercel Web Analytics to understand general website usage. It records aggregated page information such as pages visited, referrer, approximate location, browser and device type. It does not use third-party cookies or give us information that identifies you personally.
Lawful bases and data protection rights
We rely on the following lawful bases:
- Consent for launch and marketing emails. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation where we need to use information to comply with the law.
- Legitimate interests to respond to queries, investigate complaints, manage potential claims, administer the launch-list discount, protect the signup form and understand aggregated website usage. We limit this use to what is relevant and proportionate.
Depending on the circumstances, your data protection rights include:
- The right to ask for copies of your personal information.
- The right to ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- The right to ask us to delete your personal information.
- The right to ask us to restrict how we use your information.
- The right to object to processing.
- The right to data portability.
- The right to withdraw consent at any time.
Some rights are subject to exemptions. We will respond to requests without undue delay and normally within one month. Contact us using the email address above. You can read more about your rights on the ICO website.
Where we get personal information from
We receive information directly from you when you join the launch list or contact us. Limited technical and aggregated usage information is generated when you use the website.
How long we keep information
We keep your launch-list details and consent record while you remain subscribed. We review inactive contact records at least every 24 months and delete information that is no longer needed.
If you unsubscribe or withdraw consent, we remove you from active marketing. We may retain the minimum information needed to record your request and ensure we do not contact you again. To qualify for the launch-list discount, you must be a confirmed subscriber when paid subscriptions open. If you unsubscribe before then, you will not qualify. Once eligibility is established at launch, we may retain the minimum records needed to honour your discount, even if you later unsubscribe. Discount records are retained only while needed to administer the offer. Signup protection counters expire automatically after a short period, no longer than 24 hours. Information relating to queries, complaints, legal obligations or claims is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes.
